Dog Superfood Treats

Recipe 1 - Oatmeal & Blueberry Treats

Ingredients:

1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1 ripe banana
1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper.

2. In a bowl, mash the ripe banana into an even mixture.

3. Add the oats, blueberries and melted coconut oil. Mix everything well until you have a dough consistency.

4. Form small treats from the dough and place them on the baking tray.

5. Bake the treats for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

6. Allow the treats to cool completely before giving them to your dog.





Recipe 2 - Pumpkin and carrot treats

Ingredients:

1 cup pumpkin puree (unsweetened).
1/2 cup grated carrots
2 cups oatmeal
1 egg


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper.

2. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, grated carrots and egg.

3. Gradually add the oat flour and knead the dough until it holds together well.

4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into the shape you want for your treats.

Place the treats on the baking tray and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until firm and lightly browned.

Allow the treats to cool completely before serving them to your dog.

Remember that these treats should be supplements to your dog's normal diet and should not replace the main meal. Before giving your dog any new foods or treats, make sure he has no allergies to the ingredients and you can ask your vet for advice, especially if your dog has special dietary needs.
