High Energy Treats


Recipe 1 - Oatmeal peanut butter treats.

Ingredients:

2 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup unsweetened peanut butter
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
1/4 cup water


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper.

2. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, peanut butter, mashed banana and optional honey. Gradually add the water and stir the mixture until a dough forms.

3. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into the desired shape using biscuit cutters.

4. Place the cut-out treats on the prepared baking tray.

5. Bake the treats for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Be careful not to bake them too long or they will become too hard.

6. Allow the treats to cool completely before giving them to your dog.



Recipe 2 - Salmon oil treats

Ingredients:

1 cup coconut flour
1/2 cup salmon oil
2 eggs
1/4 cup water


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper.

2. In a large bowl, mix together the coconut flour, salmon oil and eggs. Gradually add the water and stir the mixture until a dough forms.

3. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into small treat pieces or cut out with biscuit shapes.

4. Place the treats on the prepared baking tray.

5. Bake the treats for about 15-20 minutes or until they are firm and golden brown.

6. Let the treats cool before serving them to your dog.

These treats are high in energy and can give your dog an extra portion of energy for active days or training sessions. Remember to give the treats in moderation and take into account your dog's nutritional needs, especially if he has special dietary requirements.
